These terms govern your use of thefarmstall.co.uk (the "Site"), operated by The Farm Stall ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you have questions, contact us at hello@thefarmstall.co.uk.

What the Site does

The Farm Stall is a UK directory of farm shops, honesty boxes, roadside stalls and small local producers. Sellers can create a free storefront listing and, on paid tiers, accept card payments from buyers via QR codes at unattended stalls. The Site also allows sellers to link to their own external websites, shops or ordering platforms from their product listings.

Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• New seller accounts and listings are reviewed before they appear publicly on the Site.
• We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms or contains misleading information.

Seller listings and responsibilities

If you list a business on the Site, you confirm that:

• The information you provide — including location, opening hours, products, prices, photos and contact details — is accurate and kept up to date.
• You hold any licences, registrations, food safety certifications (e.g. local authority food business registration) and insurance required to sell what you list.
• You comply with all applicable UK law, including food labelling, allergen information and trading standards requirements.
• You are responsible for the products and services you offer, and for all transactions that take place at your stall or storefront. The Site is a directory; we are not a party to transactions between you and buyers.
• We may remove or edit a listing we reasonably believe is inaccurate, misleading, or in breach of these terms.

Subscription plans

Paid subscription plans (Lite and Grow) are available to sellers. By subscribing you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe, a third-party payment processor. All prices are shown exclusive of VAT; applicable UK VAT is added at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via the "Manage billing & receipts" link in your seller dashboard. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• If you upgrade your plan mid-period, the cost difference is prorated and charged immediately.
• If payment fails, your plan may be downgraded to the free tier. We will attempt to notify you by email.
• We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal.
• Stripe processes all subscription payments. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your card details.

Seller payment processing (Stripe Connect)

Lite and Grow plan subscribers can connect a Stripe Express account to accept card payments from buyers at their stalls via QR codes, basket checkout and click & collect. The following applies to this feature:

• By connecting a Stripe account, you enter into a direct agreement with Stripe and are bound by Stripe's Connected Account Agreement, which includes Stripe's Terms of Service.
• Buyers pay via Stripe's secure payment interface. Funds are collected by Stripe and paid out directly to your connected bank account, less Stripe's own transaction fees and, on the Lite plan, a 4% platform commission retained by The Farm Stall (0% on the Grow plan). The applicable rate is shown on your Stripe Connect and sales history pages. We do not hold buyer funds on your behalf.
• You are solely responsible for the goods and services sold through your QR payment pages, including fulfilment, refunds, disputes and compliance with consumer law.
• In the event of a chargeback or dispute raised by a buyer, Stripe manages the dispute process. You must respond promptly to any dispute requests. We are not a party to payment disputes between you and your buyers.
• The Farm Stall does not charge a commission on transactions processed via Stripe Connect. Stripe's standard transaction fees apply.
• You may disconnect your Stripe account at any time from your seller dashboard. Disconnecting does not affect any pending payouts or open disputes.

Third-party links

The Site allows sellers to include links to their own external websites and social media pages from their profiles. We are not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, pricing or practices of any external site linked from The Farm Stall. Clicking such a link takes you away from our Site and into the seller's own platform or a third-party service — any transaction you enter into there is governed by that platform's own terms and is entirely between you and the seller. We do not endorse or verify third-party platforms linked from seller profiles.

"Submit a find" and user contributions

If you submit information about a business you don't own or run, please ensure it is accurate and that you are happy for us to publish it as a directory entry. We may contact the business to verify details and may edit or remove submissions at our discretion.

Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, other accounts or our systems
• Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable or impair it
• Scrape or harvest data from the Site for unsolicited marketing or commercial data products

Intellectual property

The Farm Stall name, logo and site design belong to us. Content you upload — such as your business description and photos — remains yours, but by uploading it you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Site as part of your listing.

Liability

The Site is provided "as is". We take reasonable care to keep listing information accurate and the Site available, but we do not guarantee that listings are complete, up to date, or error-free. We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Site, from any transaction between you and a seller, from your use of a third-party link, or from any Stripe Connect payment dispute. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Site develops. We will update the "last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
